Girl Scout Galaxy Camp
– Our Galaxy, Night & Day!
Explore the sun, moon, planets, and stars with Girl Scouts from Cache Valley! Choose from
online workshops and in-person activities at your comfort level that highlight the galaxy's
awesomeness and help Girl Scouts earn their Space Science badges!
Talk to your troop leader - this could be a great troop activity and use of troop funds! Use
the grade you will be in for the 2020-2021 school year to see which event you should

Family Solar System Walk (All Ages)
Saturday, Aug. 8, come anytime 9-11am or 6-8pm.
Actually called the Logan River Planet Walk, this 1.9 mile (out and back) scale model of the
planets in our solar system is a great resource to our Valley! Take a family walk on a paved
path by the Logan River (trailhead at Rendezvous Park near Logan River Golf Course).
Bring your smartphone and listen to podcasts about the solar system (made by local 6
th
graders!) as you go. This is a self-monitored family walk.
We encourage Girl Scouts to
wear their vests! A main purpose of this activity is for Girl Scouts to be able to connect with
each other by seeing each other along the path and saying hello!
*NOTE* This activity is
in-person. Per GSU guidelines regarding in-person Girl Scout activities, social distancing
rules apply, and masks must be worn.
