Volunteer Training - First Aid & Volunteer Toolkit - Jan 18

First of all, Merry Christmas to all of you wonderful troop leaders, co-leaders and Service Unit Team Leadership members! I hope your holidays are going well and you feel the love and peace of the season. I'm grateful for all the time and love you put into the girls you have responsibility for. Here's a cute picture just for you!

Now, Girl Scouts of Utah is sending trainers up here to hold a First-Aid/CPR/AED class ($30), as well as a Volunteer Took Kit workshop (free). These will be held Saturday, January 18th in River Heights. First-aid is at 10 AM, VTK is at noon. You can attend just one, or both. You must register through GSU. Lunch will not be provided, so bring your own sack lunch if you're doing both.

Registration links:

Remember that at least one adult that is First-Aid/CPR/AED certified must be present at every troop meeting, gathering or outing. Also, certification must be renewed every 2 years. The Toolkit has been continuously improved and added upon (even older scout stuff). If you have not tried to use it in the last 6 months, it is highly recommended that you come to the workshop.
